New Year's Eve and Day

For New Year's Eve, my dad and Cecilia invited us over for lunch with them and Grandmas. We had a yummy lunch of ham, blackeyed peas, collard greens, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. After lunch we took Colin outside to go for a ride in the golf cart because it was such a beautiful day. We also took him for a ride in a wagon that my dad had bought for him. He absolutely loved it! I got some great pictures. Speaking of pictures, Mario and I pooled our Christmas money and gift cards together to buy a new camera! I was tired of having to take so many pictures of Colin to get just one that wasn't blurry with our other cameras. We bought a Canon Rebel SLR camera. We got it a few days after Christmas, so I got to try it out New Year's weekend. It takes great pictures! Also, Cecilia has the same camera and she let me use two of her lenses and a camera bag! We came home for New Year's Eve and put Colin to bed. Mario stopped by some friends' house, for a cookout, but was home in time to ring in the new year together. Here are some pics from our day!

He got his first dirty boy booty and socks!

New Year's Day was also a beautiful day! After seeing how much Colin enjoyed riding in the wagon the day before, we decided to try out his wagon that he had gotten for Christmas. We rode him down to our neighborhood park and let him swing. He had so much fun! We came home and had a yummy New Year's Day dinner. I made pork chops, turnip greens, blackeyed peas, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. It was yummy and we had a wonderful day!
