I got a little behind in my blogging due to the holidays, so I'm just now getting around to do a 6 month update on 12/30. It won't be as detailed as usual since Colin is now almost 7 months old, but I'll do my best to remember!
Our "little" guy weighed in at 19 lbs, 13 oz and was 26.5 inches long at his 6 month checkup. He is growing and changing every day. Here are some new things that he's doing now at 6 months:
-Wears size 6-12 month, 9 month, and some 12 month clothes
-Sits up great, everyone comments on how great he sits up on his own
-He likes to sit on a blanket on the floor, surrounded by his toys. He goes through a funny process while playing with his toys and it goes something like this: 1) pick up toy 2) put it in his mouth 3) hold toy away from him and stare at it 4) rotate toy while looking at it 5) shake toy violently 6) continue shaking toy and slamming it on the ground until it flies away out of reach 7) grab another toy and repeat steps 1-6
-Rides in the cart at the store and sits in high chairs in restaurants
-Sits up in the tub without the seat
-Plays with his duckies in the bathtub
-Rides much better in the car and doesn't usually cry and scream like he used to
-Loves jumping in his jumperoo
-"Talks" all the time
-Watches Ruby and GiGi and laughs at them
-Tries to rub Ruby and GiGi
-Is so much more independent now that he sits up on his own...now Mommy can get some things done!
