Decisions, Decisions!

Well we made a decision about my work situation for next year...as of June 1st I'll be trading in the title of Señora Cruz for Mommy! The day after I made my last post about us trying to decide, I got to work and they made an announcement for us to pick up our contracts for next year! This caught me totally by surprise since contracts had been coming out later for the last couple of years. We had a week to get them signed, so we had to make a decision a lot sooner than we anticipated. We talked it over and decided that it would be best for the baby for me to stay home with him for at least the first year. So I turned in my resignation on March 25th. We're looking at this as a year off from work and we'll reassess each year to see if we need/want me to go back to work. Looking at it that way makes it seem a lot less overwhelming. So I have 2 more weeks of work and I'll officially be a stay at home mom! I know I'll really miss teaching, but I am really looking forward to the new adventure ahead!
